Levy says he considers fire insurance the “most criminal” aspect of the situation.

“I don't know if you know this, but like 70% or so of insureds in Southern California who used to have fire insurance on their homes months ago, that insurance has been taken away,” Levy stated. “The insurance company said, 'No, we're not going to offer fire insurance anymore. What do they have to do with flood insurance and fire insurance? That's fire risk. Of course, that's the insurance they need and they need it.' I want it and just months ago, this was stripped away from people. This is not acceptable in any way.

He urged people to keep Southern Californians affected by the fires in their thoughts and prayers. “We need to send as much love, light and support as we can to everyone affected right now,” Levy said.
