It looks like Indian leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal's life is going to take a turn after the recent divorce rumors with his wife Dhanashree Verma. Rumors swept social media as users expressed their feelings about the Legspinner game.
But the topic came up again when Chahal posted a confusing story on social media, writing about all the hard work he had put in to get to this point. Although he did not mention Dhanashree's name, he may have attacked her indirectly.

Yuzvendra Chahal posts a mysterious story on Instagram
After his divorce rumors flooded social media, Yuzvendra Chahal posted a mysterious story on Instagram that left his fans scratching their heads. In the story, he talked about working hard and going through pain to achieve success in life.
He did not mention his wife Dhanashree Verma in this story but he did not forget to mention the sacrifices of his father and mother.
“Hard work highlights people's character. You know your journey. You know your pain. You know everything you did to get here. The world knows. You stand tall. You worked your ass off to make your father and your mother proud. Keep standing tall like a proud son.” Always,” reads Chahal’s story.

How did the rumors start?
The divorce rumors between Yuzvendra Chahal and Dhanashree Verma actually started when both the celebrities unfollowed each other on social media on January 4 (Saturday). Some reports claimed that their divorce was inevitable due to the major differences between them.
Chahal removed all the pictures with Dhanashree on social media which further increased these rumours. However, Dhanashree did not do so and still has pictures with Chahal on her account
Yuzvendra Chahal married Dhanashree Verma in December 2020. Their love story began when Chahal joined Dhanashree's dance classes. Dhanashree is also a choreographer. They both became good friends when Chahal started attending classes and love blossomed.
Yuzvendra Chahal's last international match
Yuzvendra Chahal has been out of the Indian team for some time. He was in India's squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup as they lifted the trophy. However, he did not play any matches in the tournament.
Since then, he has been sidelined by the new team management led by coach Gautam Gambhir. His last international match was over a year ago in August 2023 when he played a T20I against the West Indies at Lauderhill.
Despite being out of the national team, Chahal has been performing well wherever he has been given the opportunity. The 34-year-old remains one of the best players in the Indian Super League and has been among the most expensive players in the tournament this season.
He was signed by Punjab Kings for a whopping sum of INR 18 Crores in the IPL 2025 Mega Auction. The leg-spinner earlier used to play for Rajasthan Royals but was not retained by the franchise.
