(Reuters) – The World Bank said on Thursday it had raised its GDP growth forecast for China for 2024 and 2025 to take into account the impact of recent policy easing and near-term strength in exports.
The World Bank said that China's GDP growth is now expected to reach 4.9% in 2024, compared to the 4.8% the group had previously expected.
Growth for 2025 is expected to fall to 4.5%, which is higher than the organization's previous forecast of 4.1%.
