A coalition of women's advocacy organizations called on the president-elect Donald Trump To demand that the NCAA change its policies regarding trans athletes in women's sports.
Our Bodies, Our Sports, the first and only coalition of women's advocacy organizations fighting for justice in women's sports in the country, issued a letter to the president-elect asking him to use his influence to get National Collegiate Athletic Association They took action “to protect the rights and opportunities of female college athletes,” a press release said.
“We are writing now to ask that you also use your strong voice to urge the NCAA to take action and clarify the rules of participation to protect the rights and opportunities of female athletes,” the letter read in part.

“This controversial and unscientific transgender student-athlete participation policy continues to allow men to participate in women’s sports – depriving women of opportunities to compete, make rosters on teams, medal, and safe and fair competition,” the statement read.
This letter to the president-elect comes ahead of the 2025 NCAA Conference, which will be held Jan. 14-17 in Nashville, Tennessee. The week is full of issues, forums, working sessions and award shows.
The letter also comes after a federal judge blocked the Biden administration's attempt to redefine sex in Title IX as “gender identity,” leading to its nationwide repeal.
Federal judge attacks Biden administration's Title IX rewrite
The ruling came in the US District Court for the Eastern District From Kentucky The Northern Division in Cardona v. Tennessee on Tuesday.

The Supreme Court previously rejected the Biden administration's emergency request to enforce parts of a new rule that would have included anti-discrimination protections for transgender students under Title IX.
As for the NCAA's current transgender participation policy, it allows transgender athletes to play in a “sport-by-sport approach,” which “preserves opportunity for transgender student-athletes while balancing equity, inclusion, and safety for all who compete.” The governing body says its policy is consistent with that of the Olympic Movement.
Part of the NCAA policy requires transgender student-athletes to submit documentation that meets the 2010 NCAA policy, as well as meeting athletic standards for documented testosterone levels at three points in time: before competition during the regular season, before their first NCAA competition. tournament and before any competition in the “non-tournament portion”.
