Las Vegas police have identified Matthew Alan Livelsperger as the man they believe was inside the Tesla Cybertruck that exploded in front of the Trump International Hotel on Wednesday.
They say Livelsperger, an active-duty US Special Forces soldier, rented the car and drove it from Las Vegas, Colorado.
The case and motive for the explosion are still under investigation, but parallels have been drawn between the subject in the Cybertruck explosion and the suspect involved in the New Orleans attack on New Year's Day.
