Washington (Reuters) – A Toyota The US Department of Justice (NYSE:) unit has agreed to plead guilty and pay more than $1.6 billion in a settlement with US government agencies to settle violations related to an emissions fraud scheme, the US Department of Justice said in a statement on Wednesday.

The Justice Department, FBI and EPA, among other agencies, have reached multiple criminal and civil resolutions with Toyota subsidiary Hino Motors, the Justice Department said.
