WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States may place a “very large bounty” on senior Taliban leaders, Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Saturday.
“Just hearing the Taliban are holding more American hostages than have been reported,” Rubio said in a post on the social media platform X.
“If this were true, we would immediately have to place a very large bounty on their top leaders, perhaps larger than the one we had on bin Laden,” he added.
