President-elect Trump seemed to agree With Elon Musk Supporting H-1B visas for skilled workers in the United States as valid arguments in the immigration debate.
“I've always loved visas, and I've always supported them. That's why we got them,” Trump said. New York Post Saturday.
Trump said he recognizes the visas on his properties, saying: “I've been a believer in the H-1B program. I've used it many times. It's a great program.”

Trump's comments come as clashes erupt over immigration and the place of foreign workers in the American labor market.
Musk And Vivek Ramaswamy, Trump's appointees to lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) argued earlier this week that American culture has not prioritized education enough, and thus foreign workers are needed for technology companies like SpaceX and Tesla.
Many technology companies have adopted the H-1B visa program, which allows U.S. companies to hire foreign workers in specialized professions, but critics of the program say H-1B holders are often chosen over U.S. citizens for jobs.
One such critic, Laura Loomer, sparked a firestorm over Company X when she criticized Trump's choice of Sriram Krishnan, an Indian-American venture capitalist, to be an AI policy adviser.

She said in her post that she was concerned that Krishnan, an American citizen, would have an influence on me Immigration in the Trump administration Policies.
“It is alarming to see how many career leftists are now being appointed to serve in the Trump administration when they share views that directly contradict Trump’s America First agenda,” she wrote.
Musk doubled down on his stance, taking to X on Friday to criticize a user who showed a video of him discussing SpaceX's operations to go after the billionaire's stance on the visa program.
“The reason I'm in America with so many important people who built SpaceX, Tesla, and hundreds of other companies that made America strong is because of H1B,” Musk wrote on X.
Then move on to the 2008 quote Action and comedy movie, “Tropical Thunder” was a huge hit at the box office.
“Take a big step back and hit yourself in the face,” Musk protested.

Likewise, Ramaswamy was a supporter of the H-1B visa, writing: “American culture has honored mediocrity at the expense of excellence.”
