Trump shared two posts on his social media platform Truth Social on Tuesday evening — one containing a map of the United States and Canada with “US” written across the two countries and another post with the United States and Canada covered in the American flag.

“Hey Canada!” he wrote in one post.

The incoming president has recently been pushing for Canada to be added to the United States, including earlier Tuesday.

“Canada and the United States. This will be a real thing,” Trump said at a press conference at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida. “They should be a country.”

On Monday, the president-elect argued in a social media post that “many people in Canada would love to be the 51st state.”

“The United States can no longer run the massive trade deficits and subsidies that Canada needs to stay afloat,” he wrote on Truth Social.
