WASHINGTON – President-elect Donald Trump announced Sunday that he will nominate billionaire investor Steven Feinberg to be deputy secretary of defense.
Feinberg is co-CEO of Cerberus Capital Management LP, a private equity firm he co-founded in 1992. He served on an intelligence advisory board during Trump's term in the White House from 2017-2021.
Feinberg will be the No. 2 Pentagon official under Trump's pick for defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, a former Fox News host facing questions over allegations of alcohol abuse and sexual misconduct. Hegseth denied any wrongdoing.
