It was Mark Burnett (64 years old) who created this show, which made Trump world famous for firing a series of contestants competing for roles in his business. The British national also created or produced “Survivor,” “Shark Tank” and other shows and was president of the MGM Worldwide Television Group.
Trump had previously chosen businessman Warren Stevens to be his ambassador to the United Kingdom. On Friday, the British government appointed Peter Mandelson as its new ambassador to the United States, with a mission to win over Trump, avoid a trade war, and keep the two countries aligned over Ukraine.
In a post on his platform, Truth Social, Trump said that Burnett would “work to strengthen diplomatic relations” and focus on “trade, investment opportunities, and cultural exchanges.”
