(Reuters) – President-elect Donald Trump said he will appoint Penny Schoen, the former Tennessee education commissioner, to be deputy U.S. education secretary.
In addition to Tennessee, Schoen has served at the Texas Education Agency as deputy commissioner of standards and engagement, deputy commissioner of special populations and probation, and deputy chief commissioner of academics, Trump posted on his Truth Social platform on Saturday.
She was also Assistant Secretary of Education for Delaware.
Trump initially gave Swin's first name as Biggie but corrected it to Penny in a later post.
