President-elect Trump announced Two key allies in the first term had roles in his second administration, including Richard Grenell.
Grenell was the next president's choice as presidential envoy for special duties, a position that will likely lead the administration's policies in some of the world's most controversial regions.

Grenell was Trump's intelligence chief during the president's term First administration.
“In my first term, Rick was the United States Ambassador to Germany, Acting Director of National Intelligence, and Presidential Envoy for the negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia,” Trump said. “Previously, he spent eight years within the UN Security Council, working on North Korea and developments in several other countries.”
Trump also announced the selection of Edward Sharp Walsh for the position of US Ambassador To Ireland.

“Edward is the president of the Walsh Company, a highly successful national construction and real estate company. He is a philanthropist in his local community and previously served as chairman of the New Jersey School Development Authority,” Trump announced.
