Tom Brady He revealed his initial reaction when he found out that Bill Belichick had decided to become the next head coach of the North Carolina Tar Heels.

Brady spoke about his former coach's decision during the call Philadelphia Eagles Victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Fox Sunday night.

“I was kind of stunned when I heard the news,” Brady told Fox play-by-play man Kevin Burkhart. “I didn't think this was an opportunity he was looking at. But obviously they've got a great coach.

“Being in the locker room with him for so many years, these guys are going to play so hard. He's going to coach them so well. It's a huge benefit to all the players that go into this program because they get the best coach the NFL has ever seen — and now it's at the college level.” “

Burkhart asked Brady how he thought Belichick's recruitment would go.

The former New England Patriots star quarterback admitted that his former coach wasn't exactly the warmest person in the world.

“It's not the warmest and fuzziest ever. It's not like there were a lot of… I remember one year after we won the Super Bowl our first year, we rode in a limo down Bourbon Street after we beat the Rams in 2001. We rode The limo after the game, and the next morning at the MVP news conference, he said, “You know, Tom, you had a pretty good season?” “That was warm and fuzzy,” Brady said “The same happened with Coach Belichick.”

Belichick is set to replace Mack Brown as head coach. The Tar Heels are 6-6 this year and play UConn in Fenway Bowl. Freddie Kitchens will coach the team for the match.
