The most experienced chaser in this area is Nigel Twiston-Davies Tidly Who has overcome bigger obstacles four times now including finishing behind Calif du Perlé at Newbury. The five-year-old should put his experience to good use here and will be a big player under 7lb Jimmy Bryce.

1.55 – Jeffrey Cross returns from a long break to chase the competition

Skeletons Geoffrey's cross He is a consistent type over fences and had a good total at Haydock in April 2023 but will need to challenge a long break if he is to win here.

At 2.30 in East Berkshire, Harry Cobden takes over Asian spices For trainer Jimmy Frost – a horse looking to build on his impressive five-length success at Exeter on his last appearance. Bellbird and Hedera Park are likely to compete under Charlie Maggs and Gavin Sheehan respectively.

At 3.05pm Duhallow Tommy will look to improve on third place after a long break last time out at Fontwell in the hands of Kevin Brogan. Another potential contender is Riley, who will join Dan Skelton's team.
