Tottenham are set to part ways with Timo Werner at the end of the season, with the Premier League club not planning to turn his loan deal into a permanent transfer.
The German star joined Tottenham during the January transfer window and there was an option for the London side to keep the winger at the club permanently this summer for a fee of 15 million pounds sterling. Tottenham have opted to extend the 28-year-old's loan deal for another season over the summer and that agreement will contain a buy-out clause of just £8.5m.

Despite this extremely low price, Tottenham are not planning to turn Werner's loan deal into a permanent transfer, according to reports. BildWhich means that the former Chelsea star will return to RB Leipzig at the end of the current season.
This is a huge blow to the German club and the player as they could have been Hoping to reach an easy agreement next summer.
Ange Postecoglou clearly has no plans for the winger beyond the current season, and will instead look to bring in someone else for the role, if the Australian remains in charge of the London side for the 2025/26 season.
Timo Werner is not part of Tottenham's future plans
Werner initially looked like he could be a useful tool for Tottenham as the German star's energy suits Postecoglou's attack-intensive playing style.
However, the 28-year-old failed to impress over the past year at Tottenham, producing just three goals and six assists in 37 appearances for the Lilywhites. The RB Leipzig loanee has failed to establish himself in Postecoglou's top 11 and has been eliminated from the league in a final match with Rangers. Tottenham coach is angry with Werner because of his offer.
This decision is not surprising given the season the German winger is having and leaves questions about the direction his career will take next.
