At least 15 people were killed in a suspected terrorist attack Wednesday morning, and dozens were injured, the FBI said.
New Orleans coroner Dr. Dwight McKenna said in a statement late Wednesday that they would release the names of those killed once autopsies were completed and they had spoken with next of kin.
Tiger Peak, 27
Former Princeton football player Tiger Peck, 27, was killed in the Bourbon Street attack.
In a touching post, he remembered his brother, Jack Beck, the All-Ivy League running back who played for Princeton from 2016-18.
“I love you always, brother! You inspire me every day, and now you can be with me every moment,” he wrote in a social media post. “I've got this family T, don't worry. This is ours.”
He graduated from St. Thomas More Catholic High School in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 2015, the school said in a statement.
“The St. Thomas More Catholic High School community mourns the loss of one of our protégés, Tiger Peck, who passed away early this morning as a result of the New Year's Day attack. In New Orleans“Tiger was a 2015 graduate who stood out in football, lacrosse and track and field,” they wrote.
“Please keep the Beck family in your prayers during this time,” they said.
Nikira Dido, 18
Dido was an aspiring nurse when she was hit by a high-speed truck during her New Year's Eve celebration.
Her friend Zion Parsons told The Associated Press that she was hit by the truck, saying he was “lucky to be alive.”
“A truck hit the corner, and it just threw people up like in a movie, throwing them up in the air,” Parsons, 18, told the Associated Press. “I hit her and threw her at least 30 feet away and I was lucky to survive.”

The 18-year-old had a job at a hospital and was set to start college, Parsons said.
“She had her own mindset. She didn't understand everything, but she had a plan,” he said.
Nicole Perez, 28
Nicole Perez was a single mother of her 4-year-old son when she was killed in a truck attack in New Orleans, her employer confirmed to The Associated Press.
Perez was recently promoted to manager at Kimmy's Deli in Metairie, Louisiana “I was really excited about it,” Kimberly Asher, owner of the deli, said in a phone interview. Asher confirmed Perez's death through her sister, who also works with her.

“She was a really good mother,” said Asher, who set up a GoFundMe account to cover Perez's burial costs and help with her son's expenses.
Reggie Hunter, 37
Reggie Hunter, 37, got off work and headed to Bourbon Street on a whim to call in 2025, his cousin, Cheryl Jackson, said. nola.com.
“They decided to go out there because he came home from work and said, 'Hey, the Sugar Bowl is tomorrow. It's New Year's Eve. Let's go to town,'” Jackson told the outlet. “Just something very simple. 'Hey, do you want to give me a ride into town?'

Hunter died of his injuries, Jackson said. Jackson was one of dozens injured in the attack.
