WASHINGTON (Reuters) – US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday that the United States again joins an international agreement that critics say it aims to reduce the possibility of abortion for millions of women and girls all over the world, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Friday.

“Today, the United States informed the signatories of the announcement of the Geneva consensus, our intention to join again,” Rubio said in a statement late on Friday evening.

The United States, Brazil, Uganda, Egypt, Hungary, and Indonesia participated in the auspices of the Geneva Consensus (GCD), in the sponsorship of the Geneva Consensus (GCD).

His administration said at the time that GCD seeks to better care for women and preserve human life, while strengthening the family as the basic unit of society and protecting the sovereignty of each country.

The group now includes more than 35 sites.

On Friday, the Foreign Ministry said that one of the four goals of the treaty is “protecting life in all its stages.”

Abortion is a controversial issue in American politics. In 2022, the United States Supreme Court ruled the right to aborted the country.
