“The thing I have in mind is if this has been the last six months, what do you want to see in the future? Do you want to look back and say 'I was worried or nervous about the contract'?”
“Or do you just want to say 'I had an unbelievable season'? That's what goes through my head. If I get any distractions, I just remind myself that I want to look back and say I had an unbelievable season.”
Reporter Patrick Davison, who spoke to Salah, said he believes the Egypt captain “wants to extend his time at Liverpool.”
“During the interview, he said again that this was his last year with the club,” Davison added. “But I think he doesn't want it to be that way.”

Salah said: “The new coach came with a new idea to help the team… Maybe things have changed a little, which makes us all want it more and want to win more.”
“That doesn't mean we didn't want to win more, but change can help the team and I had no incentive to win the Premier League.
“With Jurgen, we had one system all the time. We stuck to what we were doing with him, no matter what.
We've been doing this for seven to eight years. The new manager changes something a bit, depending on the game. We've never done that before.”
