The NFL Divisional Round got off to a hot start on a chilly late afternoon in Kansas City. But the heat was mostly on the sideline for the Houston Texans, as nerves ran high in the opening moments of a high-stakes game against the back-to-back defending champions. Super Bowl champion Chiefs.

Television cameras showed the Texans defensive back Chris Boyd almost scrambles Houston special teams coach Frank Ross is on the floor moments after the opening kick of the playoff game.

The Texans kicked the ball to the Chiefs to start the game. Chiefs returner Nico Remigio sent the kick in and quickly broke through some would-be Texans attackers.

Remigio quickly hit the open field and raced toward the end zone. But Boyd eventually caught up to him and stripped him of the ball.

He then ran toward the Texans sideline and celebrated the fumble by ripping off his helmet and sending it toward the bench. However, there was one notable problem, which was that the Chiefs had already restored the glitch.

Boyd proceeded to push Ross to the sideline.

The 28-year-old cornerback was ultimately flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for removing his helmet.

The Texans advanced to Saturday's divisional round game after defeating… Los Angeles Chargers In the Wild Card round last week.

Houston entered Saturday's game against the Chiefs as a solid underdog but entered the locker room at halftime trailing by just seven points. The third quarter ended with Kansas City leading 13-12.

The winner of the game at Arrowhead Stadium will await the outcome of Sunday's other AFC Division I game between the Baltimore Ravens and his team. Buffalo Bills.
