Jong-Royvar admitted that she had suffered from “a lot of fear” when she was thinking if she would talk publicly about her own battle. But she decided that it was “important” for her to share what she was struggling with.

She added: “As a sporting elite, I felt that it was necessary to stop the damage he caused to my body and mentality by asking for help.”
Jong-Royvar also appreciated the support she received from her loved ones and coaches, adding that she is looking “to enjoy all this and more while I overcome the eating disorder that I suffer.”
