The first respondents turned into the recovery efforts in the Botomac River after they believed that there are no survivors. There were 60 passengers, four crew members on the flight and three soldiers on board the UH-60 helicopter.

“This is a shy thing,” wrote the TEAM USA Skater Josphine Lee in a post on Instagram. “My thoughts and prayers come out to everyone on the plane, including skiers, coaches and parents.”

The Kremlin confirmed that two former Olympics, Evjnia Shishkova and Vadim Numov, were among the victims of the plane crash.
