Director Enzo Marisca said that Chelsea's victory at West Ham was a “huge” result, as the Blues returned to the first four places of the Premier League.
Jarrod Bowen's great goal was to hammers at the end of the first half, but Maresca made four changes and was rewarded when Pedo Neto tied.
Then Cole Palmer was hit in a low blow, deviating from Aaron Wan Pisaka to close three large points for the hosts.

“It is a huge result,” Marisca said. It was a difficult game, especially mentally. It is never easy when the difference comes here and waiting and sitting.
“You need to be patient. There is no space, you need to move the ball and wait for the right moment.
“We are there in the first four places and we hope to be there to the end. Play this type of game in February, where we are still an important statement.”
Graham Potter was his first return to Stamford Bridge since his dismissal by Chelsea in 2023.
He admired his team all the time, with Bowen in an excellent form when he returned from the injury.
“I thought the performance was really good,” Potter said.
“I thought we were tactically smart. We felt a bit upset with the first goal, we thought that there was a mistake to lead to it. Sometimes you need these things to go on your way but it was not intended to be.
“Garrod Boen was great, and the team was led and the performance of a captain is suitable. You see the players who we have and the spirit there. We can be positive for the future.”
