The distinctive feature of the actor John Reardon has revealed he is on a “long road” to recovery after battling tonsil cancer.

The “Believe in Christmas” star shared a health update on social media as he posted a photo of himself in the hospital.

Reardon, 49, wrote on Instagram: “Last night was my first night out after recovering from tonsil cancer. It has been a long road between these two photos and the difference is the love and support I have received from the people in my life.” Earlier this week.

“My amazing partner in dealing with the whole world to help me improve. My brave children are the ones who inspired me. My father who took me for a walk every day even when it was hard for me to get out of bed – I'm sure it's hard for him to,” she said in part. He sees his son in pain.”

Reardon continued to show his gratitude to his loved ones during his turbulent journey, thanking other family members and health care workers.

“My mom made me soup… ginger and honey tea and green juices so I could get the calories into my body. My sister and brother helped with the kids and life's challenges when I couldn't,” he wrote.

Oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma, commonly known as throat cancer or tonsil cancer, is “a type of head and neck cancer that refers to cancer of the base and posterior third of the tongue, the tonsils, the soft palate, and the posterior and lateral pharyngeal walls,” according to National Institutes of Health (NIH).
