But although the idea of continuing a familial relationship sounds appealing, one NFL great says he'd rather see Sanders stay in college, for very good reason.
Simply put, Vince Wilfork believes that college students need Coach Prime more than professional athletes.
“He's more valuable to the college because he can touch a lot of young kids,” Wilfork said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. “Everyone has their own dream, but outside of looking at it, they can touch more people's lives when it matters more than having a guy making millions of dollars and you can't reach it. They can get to that point with his leadership.”
“What he represents can really help these young men. I'd rather see him help kids, because they need him more than guys making millions of dollars. I just see him as a pioneer at this level.”

Sanders' first coaching gig came with Jackson State, and once he got the Colorado job, several players followed suit, including his sons as well as Travis Hunter, who became that season's Heisman Trophy winner as a two-way star. Hunter is also slated to be a top-five pick, just like the quarterback.
When Hunter won the Heisman Trophy, he shared a long hug with his coach, crying on his shoulder.
