Curley's arrest Thursday left him facing domestic violence and theft charges from an incident in May, when police issued a probable cause alert to their system. According to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital, Curley and his wife got into a verbal, then physical, dispute in May, on his birthday, when Curley's wife had contact with “an unknown person on Instagram.”

Curley stole his wife's cellphone after putting her in a second chokehold, the affidavit says. Curley was not present when authorities arrived, and witnesses did not cooperate, police said.

The woman Curley was with on Thursday, Cleo Rahman, has also apparently been arrested, and the two are said to be dating. Rahman wrote, “Free my legs” as her comment on a video of the officer punching Curley.

“While we were trying to move to our car, the police officer decided to push my friend and move him out of the way, which resulted in a big fail,” Rahman, a rapper who works with DJ Sky High Baby, told NBC. Miami. “We were simply trying to get to the car. We weren't trying to obstruct justice or anything like that. It's so crazy that it (took) four police officers to try to arrest him. It was absolutely crazy.” “
