Not only has the Rush Hour trilogy stood the test of time, it's been able to age like a fine wine, and all three films appeared in the top 10 on Netflix at the same time. It's an impressive feat for a film series that began in 1998 and ended in 2007, despite having a short-lived series without Chris Tucker or Jackie Chan. Then again, it's the amazing chemistry between the two men that turned the typical buddy comedy into an international blockbuster.

Rush hour He was ranked highest in Netflixbreaking into the top three at times, and nearly 30 years later, the film remains the pinnacle of buddy comedy. Chief Inspector Lee's Chan and Tucker's smart LAPD detective Carter are initially brought together, to keep Lee busy and away from investigating his friend's missing daughter. Of course, they end up bonding over their shared trauma and unusual singing to reluctantly save the day.

Since the film grossed over $275 million, it was inevitable that there would be a sequel, however Rush hour 2 It defied expectations, and didn't just become Netflix My neighbor It was released more than two decades later but remains one of the best sequels of all time. Having moved the action from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, Carter is now the fish out of water on Lee's home turf, and the result is a sequel that hits all the right beats. This time, they stop a counterfeiting ring, and it's the rich white man who Carter knows is behind it all, with more of the same charm as the first movie.

Rush hour 3which is the lowest-rated on Netflix, and the weakest in the franchise, but that still makes it an exceptional buddy comedy. Lee and Carter have accepted their strange friendship while taking on the Chinese mafia and not even Lee's old childhood friend can connect them at this point. It says a lot about the strength of the franchise when the worst-performing film still earned $275 million worldwide.

Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, as shown in the DVD special features and countless interviews they've done together, also started out as co-workers who didn't really like each other but became friends who traveled the world together. if Rush hour 4 It's going to happen, it can't be here soon enough.
