Crystal Palace could be without several players for their FA Cup third round match against Stockport after a significant outbreak of illness throughout the squad this week.
Manager Oliver Glasner says the senior has banned several players from training and admitted he doesn't know who will be available for Sunday's game.
“We had a lot of players sick this week, or a lot of question marks,” Glasner said in a press conference.
“As of today (Friday), Jean-Philippe Mateta, Maxence Lacroix and Tyreke Mitchell have not trained. Caleb Kebourha trained for the first time today but Dean Henderson returned home today due to illness.
“It's possible that one or two will come back tomorrow, but of course they might not be available to start if you've been in bed with a fever for almost a whole week, so there are still a lot of question marks.
“But all the healthy players made it easy for us because we had one of our best weeks of training in months, even with a small number.
“I'm really happy with how the training sessions are going and it gives me a good feeling for the next three-match week.”
Palace team news
Palace midfielder Will Hughes is a major doubt due to a foot injury while Adam Wharton is recovering from surgery to repair a problem affecting his hip and thigh.
“Adam is improving but he is still a long way from training with the team, but he is improving,” Glasner said.
“I can't tell you whether it will take two, three or four weeks, but it's unlikely he'll be back in January.”
Palace transfer news
Crystal Palace coach Oliver Glasner said the club is working to sign players during the January transfer window.
The mansion was reportedly on the market for
“As soon as we sign a player we will let you know. We are working on two transfers but I don’t know how quickly we will complete them,” Glasner said.
“When we talk about it, it makes it more expensive!”
Glasner also revealed that no Palace player has told him they want to leave the club in this window, amid interest in Mark Guehi from former club Chelsea for the centre-back.
“If we can keep the team together – because we are really happy with the players who have developed over the last two months after a not-so-easy start – it will look very positive.
“No one told me they wanted to leave. This is the most important part: the players want to stay here.”
