Liverpool's 2024 has been clearly divided into two halves.

The first match saw the end of Jurgen Klopp's trophy-filled and transformational spell with the Reds. The German last won the admiration of Anfield fans in May, with his side running out at the end of the 2023/24 Premier League season.

Klopp's successor has had a very difficult task, as he has been tasked with motivating a group grieving the loss of their captain. Arne Slott was the coach identified by Liverpool's recruitment team as the ideal candidate to rebuild on impressive foundations.

This proved to be an inspired decision. The first half of the 2024/25 season has been truly exceptional for Liverpool, who lost just once under their new Dutch captain last year.

While 2025 promises to be an even more exciting year for us Liverpool Supporters, let's cast our minds back to the best of 2024 for the Reds.

Virgil van Dijk has enjoyed a resurgent year, Alisson is still the best goalkeeper on the planet when fit, and Alexis McAllister instantly wowed Anfield with a series-winning goal. Of stellar performances.

However, there can be no doubt that once again, Mohamed Salah He was the Reds' breakout player last year. The relentless Egyptian has produced remarkably consistent performances for Liverpool and could end the current season with the best tally of his career if he maintains his incredibly high standards under Slot for the second half of the season.

His longevity is exceptional and his durability is in equal measure, while still offering the blistering pace and dynamic left foot that has traditionally seen him top Liverpool's goalscoring charts.

Many of them have improved significantly since Slot's arrival but none of them have completely blown away Ryan Gravenberch. The agile but inconsistent Dutchman traveled to Merseyside at the start of Klopp's final season but found adapting to the physicality and energy of the Premier League a challenge.

Transforming Gravenberch into an excellent defensive midfielder wasn't on the 2024 bingo card for many people, but he did it. The 22-year-old has thrived while anchoring Liverpool's engine room, fulfilling the club's clear need for a new number six.

Loud shouts should be heard for Cody Jacobo and Luis Diaz when it comes to Liverpool improving in 2024, but Gravenberch's transformation has been too impressive to ignore.

The end of Klopp's reign was full of happy tales regarding Liverpool's academy prospects. Injuries have meant the club's youngsters have had ample opportunities to impress, and most of them have made positive first impressions on Anfield fans.

While Jarrell Quansah also impressed for Liverpool's first team, emerging from relative anonymity and a brief loan spell in League One, he was primarily a right-back. Connor Bradley Who is the most loved by fans in 2024.

Following a season-long loan to Bolton Wanderers where he was named the club's Player of the Year for 2022/23, the Northern Irishman was immediately given opportunities to play for Liverpool's first team. Filling in for Trent Alexander-Arnold is no easy task, but the 21-year-old has done a very impressive job.

More reminiscent of Andy Robertson than Liverpool's No. 66, Bradley has enjoyed a very successful year, and has now made nearly 40 appearances and provided a fair number of assists for the Reds.
