The case of the records classified in Smith in July 2024 was rejected by the US District Court of the Southern Region of Florida Judge Eilen Cannon, who had eliminated that Smith was appointed illegally as a special consultant.

The new legal team will resume Trump in the Prague case and the James case.
Trump was sentenced earlier in January by Judge Juan Mirchhan with unconditional drainage after being convicted of falsifying business records. Mirchhan did not sentence the president to prison, but rather did not impose any penalty at all – there is no time to prison, fines or monitoring.
