Fabrizio Romano presented Caught out With an exclusive video update on Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea The story that appeared today.
In a new daily briefing postRomano confirmed stories regarding Chelsea's interest in the Manchester United winger, while also reporting Napoli's interest.
Although Jarnacho has mostly been an important player for Manchester United in the past two seasons, he has also faced his critics at Old Trafford, especially after a slight dip in form this season.
However, it appears that the top clubs still rate the Argentina international highly, with Romano saying that Napoli coach Antonio Conte has contacted the player to try and convince him to join.
Chelsea are also there for Jarnacho, although it seems unlikely United will let him leave easily, with significant money likely to be needed, especially, one imagines, if it comes to selling to a Premier League rival.
Alejandro Garnacho transfer update from Fabrizio Romano
“Stay tuned as well The case of Alejandro Garnacho“Romano said.
There is interest from Napoli, as Antonio Conte has summoned the player and is pressing to include the Argentine, but it is very expensive and it seems difficult for Napoli.
“Also, Chelsea is there, they conducted an investigation last week, and this week they will have more contacts to understand Jarnacho's situation.
“So Chelsea and Napoli are interested, but Manchester United are very clear – it has to be a very big offer otherwise the player will stay at the club in the January transfer window.”
Chelsea already have Cole Palmer, Pedro Neto, Jadon Sancho, Joao Felix and Noni Madueke as attacking midfield options, so it's hard to see Jarnacho necessarily starting at Stamford Bridge.
However, there is no doubt that the 20-year-old has shown glimpses of being a massive talent, so it could end up being a smart investment if the Blues can pull it off.
