Chelsea are currently experiencing an injury crisis at the back, forcing the club to consider recalling Trevo Chalupa from loan.

Injuries to Wesley Fofana and Benoit Badyashile have left Enzo Maresca's side short of options at centre-back, forcing the club to rely on academy graduate Josh Acheampong, who made his Premier League debut in the recent 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

Chelsea are eyeing Trevo Chalupa as a short-term solution to their injury crisis

Maresca has impressed in his first season with Chelsea

The former Leicester boss has done a fantastic job in his first season with the Blues so far, losing just 4 league games and sitting in fourth place with just four points behind second-placed Arsenal.

However, their recent form has become a bit shaky, as they have suffered 2 defeats and 2 draws in their last 4 matches.

Maresca will be hoping to marshal the defense and return to winning ways to keep pushing for a top four finish and perhaps more.
