In a shocking turn of events, Saif was attacked by an unknown thief at his Mumbai residence in Bandra area. The assailant broke into the actor's home and stabbed him six times. Following the brutal attack, Saif was taken to hospital by his family, where he is now recovering. According to reports, Saif Al-Hamad is out of danger and is under continuous medical supervision. His fans and well-wishers were relieved to hear of his stable condition after the traumatic accident.

Saif said that cricket was deeply ingrained in his family and was treated almost like a religion. Both his father and grandfather were captains of the Indian cricket team, and his grandfather even played against a legendary team Australia mixture Don Bradman. Although he also played cricket, he admitted that the mental demands of the game, which required patience and timing, were not his strengths, which ultimately ended his cricketing aspirations prematurely.
