(Reuters) – Tesla Inc (NASDAQ:) on Friday raised prices for its Model S vehicles in the United States by $5,000, according to its website.

The base Model S with all-wheel drive (AWD) will now cost $79,990, while the “Plaid” performance variant will cost $94,990, according to Tesla's website.
