Teofimo Lopez told Devin Haney he's thinking about his March 25 fight, calling it a “Punk b***” On social media. WBO light welterweight champion Lopez (21-1, 13 KOs) appears bitter about Devin not accepting an offer to fight against him.
The offer was $2.4 million with a 55-45 split in favor of Teofimo, who feels he deserves the bigger cut because he is the “king” of the 140-pound division. Haney is just a former champion, having lost to Ryan Garcia on April 20.

Haney (31-0, 15 KO) will fight March 25 on BLT Prime against an opponent yet to be announced. Boxing fans will be very interested to see who Haney faces on that date because he could pick just about anyone.
The fighters aren't afraid to fight Haney after Garcia exposed him in a 12-round majority victory. He looked so bad in that loss to Kingry that the 140-year-old wolves were surrounding him, seeing him as easy prey. One of the wolves is Teofimo. He knows wounded prey when he sees one.

Devin hit the deck three times in that fight, and many believe the referee saved him from losing in the seventh round by stopping the action to take a point away from Ryan for punching him on the break.

At the time, Haney was about to be fired by Garcia. Since the New York State Athletic Commission later overturned Haney's loss, it would not have mattered if Ryan had ejected him.
Teofimo is expected to fight former IBF 140-pound champion Subriel Matias (21-2, 21 KOs) on March 15 on ESPN+ on a top-tier promoted card. Lopez had difficulty convincing big names to fight him.
He's called up Terence Crawford, Jaron 'Boots' Ennis, Haney, Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis. The only ones interested in fighting Lopez are lightweight contenders Keshawn Davis and Mathias. He's not interested in fighting Keyshawn because he's not a star.
