Investing.com – Shares in Taiwan rose after the close on Friday, as losses in stocks and sectors led shares lower.
At the end of trading in Taiwan, the index fell by 0.88%.

On the other hand, AzureWave Technologies Inc (TW:) shares rose 9.95%, or 5.60 points, and closed at 61.90. ENGIE TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD (TW:) rose 9.95% or 2.80 points to 30.95 at the end of the session.
It was the worst performance of the session EZCON Company (TW:), which decreased in value by 7.85% or 51.00 points and traded at 599.00 levels at closing. Hewin Technologies Corp (TW:) shares fell by 6.23%, or 20.50 points, and closed at 308.50. Zhong Fu Tex-International Corp (TW:) stock fell 6.15%, or 2.20 points, to 33.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising stocks on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
AzureWave Technologies Inc (TW:) shares rise to 5-year highs; It rose by 9.95% or 5.60 to 61.90.
Crude oil futures for February delivery rose 0.16%, or 0.12, to close at $73.25 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude futures for March delivery rose 0.11%, or 0.08, to $76.01 per barrel, while gold futures for February rose 0.18%, or 4.82, to $2,673.82 per ounce.
USD/THB rose 0.06% to 32.93, while TWD/CNY rose 0.05% to 0.22.
US Dollar Index futures fell 0.21% to 108.98.
