Investing.com – Shares in Poland rose after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the stock sector led shares higher.
At the close in Warsaw, the index rose by 0.13%.
The best performers of the session were X Trade Brokers Dom Maklerski SA (WA:), whose value rose 3.08% or 2.08 points and reached 69.54 at closing. On the other hand, BUDIMEX SA (WA:) shares continued to rise by 2.25%, or 10.40 points, to close at 473.40, while Grupa KĘTY SA (WA:) shares rose 1.26%, or 8.50 points, to 685.00 at the end of the session.
As for the weakest performer at the end of today's trading, Jastrzebska Spotka Weglowa SA (WA:) stock closed down by 2.79%, or 0.58 points, and traded at 20.20 levels at the close. Orange Polska SA (WA:) stock fell by 1.88% or 0.14 points and closed at 7.29. Crow SA (WA:) was down 0.91% or 3.80 points at 415.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered gainers on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Crude oil futures for February delivery fell 0.09%, or 0.06, to close at $70.10 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery rose 1.24%, or 0.90, to $73.22 per barrel, while the February gold contract was unchanged, 0.00%, or 0.00, at $2,633.50 per ounce.
EUR/PLN rose 0.41% to 4.27, while USD/PLN rose 0.26% to 4.10.
US dollar index futures rose 0.18% to 108.00.
