Investing.com – Israeli stocks rose after the close on Wednesday, as losses in sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, it lost 0.36%.
The best performers of the session were Ormat Technologies (TASE:), which rose 2.00% or 510.00 points and reached 26,000.00 at closing. On the other hand, Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (TASE:) shares rose by 1.32%, or 83.00 points, to close at 6,376.00, while Tower Semiconductor Ltd (TASE:) rose by 1.22%, or 230.00 points, to 19,160.00 at the end of the session.
It was the worst performance of the session Shabir Engineering Industry (TASE:) decreased in value by 2.54%, or 74.00 points, and was trading at 2,834.00 levels at closing. Chikon and Benoy (TASE:) fell by 2.46%, or 34.00 points, to close at 1,350.00. Amoot Investments Ltd (TASE:) fell 1.87% or 39.00 points to 2,051.00.
The number of falling stocks outnumbered the rising stocks on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 253 shares compared to 221 shares, and 63 shares closed without change.
Crude oil futures for February delivery fell 0.09%, or 0.06, to close at $70.10 per barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent crude for March delivery rose 1.24%, or 0.90, to $73.22 per barrel, while the February gold contract was unchanged, 0.00%, or 0.00, at $2,633.50 per ounce.
The US dollar/chila was unchanged by 0.12%, reaching 3.65, while the euro/chila rose by 0.27%, to 3.80.
US dollar index futures rose 0.18% to 108.00.
