India T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav He took to social media on Thursday, December 19, to show off his new hairstyle. The Mumbai cricketer was recently seen in action during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) 2024. After missing the first innings of the tournament due to personal reasons, the 34-year-old returned for the latter part of the competition.
Suryakumar played a pivotal role in the final, scoring a crucial 48 against Madhya Pradesh. Chasing 175, Mumbai cruised to a five-wicket win with 13 balls to spare, clinching their second SMAT title. Overall, the dynamic mixture collected 132 points in five rounds throughout the tournament.
Ahead of his next assignment, Suryakumar took a break to showcase his new look. He shared the photos on Instagram with celebrity hairstylist Alam Khan, and captioned the post:
“Stay sharp, you look sharper.”
Suryakumar will return to action for Mumbai in the 2024-25 Vijay Hazare Trophy, which begins on Saturday, December 21. Mumbai will face Karnataka in their opening match of the group stage.

While Suryakumar Yadav is currently focusing on the domestic circuit, he successfully captained India in the recent T20I series against South Africa. The Men in Blue won the four-game series 3-1 Tilak Pharma (280 runs) and Sanju Samson (216 runs) lead the attack, while Suryakumar has had a relatively quiet series with the bat.
In total, Suryakumar played 78 T20Is for India, amassing 2,570 runs at an average of 40.79 and a strike rate of 167.86, including 21 fifties and four centuries. So far, he has led India in 17 T20I matches, winning 14 and losing three.
