Damaged and bruised Tottenham need three points on the south coast this weekend when they take on Southampton.
Ange Postecoglou's side are without a win since beating Manchester City 4-0 last month, but there have been extenuating circumstances. The Lilywhites are very depleted in defence, with the absences of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven raising a series of tactical concerns.
Spurs' recent malaise means they sit 11th in the table heading into the weekend's matches, but a win on Sunday could see them climb into the top half. They are just six points behind Nottingham Forest in fifth place having played one game less.
Southampton They have won just once in the Premier League on their return to the top flight, with Russell Martin struggling to enjoy the same success with his possession-based ideals as he did in the Championship.
Saints are sitting at the bottom of the table and are already eight points behind Crystal Palace in 17th place.

Martin has confirmed that Adam Lallana, Paul Onuachu and Jan Bednarek have all returned to contention after a relatively short injury layoff. Onuachu impressed in the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool and could trouble an undermanned Spurs defense on Sunday.
Lallana is not expected to immediately return to the Saints squad, but Bednarek should come into Martin's back five.
Jack Stevens has been suspended after receiving a red card against Chelsea, while Aaron Ramsdale, Will Smallbone, Juan Larios, Ross Stewart and Gavin Bazunu remain absent.
Expected lineup for Southampton against Tottenham (5-2-1-2): Lumley; Walker-Peters, Harwood-Bellis, Wood, Bednarik, Manning; Downs, Fernandez; Dipping. Armstrong, Onuachu.
Postecoglou will have to make some serious adjustments on Sunday. With Rodrigo Bentancur and Yves Bissouma suspended, Archie Gray is the most obvious candidate to start at the base of midfield. However, Spurs' injuries at centre-back mean Gray is likely to have to team up with Radu Dragosin again after he did so at Ibrox in midweek. Christian Romero, Micky van de Ven and Ben Davies are absent.
Lukas Bergvall has shown flashes in recent appearances and could make his first Premier League start this weekend, while Dominik Solanke and Dejan Kulusevski are certainly betting on a return to the team after combining for Thursday's equaliser.
The visitors are also missing Richarlison, Mickey Moore, Wilson Odubert and Guglielmo Vicario.
Expected lineup for Tottenham against Southampton (4-3-3):Forrester; Spence, Dragosin, Gray, Udoji; Sarr, Kulusevskiy, Bergvall; Johnson, Solanki, Jr.
Tottenham Need this one. Sunday's visitors slid into the bottom half of the table, and while Postecoglou's side were depleted, factions of the fanbase were starting to run out of breath.
Defeat to a poor Southampton side will undoubtedly lead to further division among fans and a decline in support for the manager ahead of the huge Carabao Cup quarter-final.
The Saints have shown some flashes, but their knack for shooting from their feet should help a Spurs side that presses from the front well. This could be a back-and-forth affair with desperate visitors achieving victory.
