South Korean lawmakers voted Saturday to impeach President Yeon Suk-yeol over his short-lived martial law declaration earlier this month.
The National Assembly approved the proposal by 204 votes to 85 on Saturday.
Saturday's vote means that Yoon's presidential powers and duties will be suspended after copies of the impeachment document are handed over to him and the Constitutional Court.
