The Palestinian Ministry of Health said that at least six Palestinians were martyred and 35 others were injured after Israeli security forces launched a large-scale operation in Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the Israeli army, police and internal security service (Shin Bet) launched a “large and important” operation to “eliminate terrorism” in Jenin.
Palestinian media reported that Israeli soldiers entered Jenin and its refugee camp on Tuesday morning after several drone strikes.
This comes after a weeks-long operation in the camp carried out by Palestinian security forces targeting armed groups that it considers a challenge to its authority.
