Selena Gomez I opened up about the viral clip of Martin Short Tampering with her engagement ring in 2025 Golden Globe.
Gomez, 32, spoke about what fans thought Short, 44, was impressed with her ring Benny Blanco At the annual awards ceremony during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live Monday, January 6th.
“Marty is checking out your engagement ring,” Kimmel, 57, said, pulling out a clip of Short touching Gomez's diamond as he sat next to her at their table.
“He wraps it up,” she explained. “I wasn't sure what he was doing. That's why I look so confused.”
Kimmel then asked if he was complimenting the design, to which Gomez replied: “He wanted to know what's going on. I don't think he cares. Maybe he had a little (too much to drink).”

After the fight, Kimmel asked if Blanco, 36, had asked Short O.J Steve Martin – Who does Gomez collaborate with? Murders only in the building – To give him permission to propose.
“He didn't do it, but I have a feeling Marty wasn't very happy about it,” Gomez quipped. “He told us a little joke here and there.”
Gomez also shared that Martin, 79, emailed her assistant Congratulations to the actress. “That's how he communicates. It's very nice, but it's okay to send a little text,” she joked.
Gomez and Blanco announced their engagement via Instagram last month. In the adorable snapshot, she shared an enlarged photo of her ring, which features a large center stone set on a gold band decorated with smaller diamonds.
