School districts, universities and state education leaders across the country are preparing their schools for the incoming Trump administration, including efforts to protect undocumented immigrant children.
Many school districts are focusing efforts to strengthen protections for immigrant students and their families. These measures include mandatory training for teachers on what to do if immigration officials arrive at their schools and new rules preventing them from attending in the first place. Other regions are preparing measures to ensure funding if President-elect Trump cuts it.
