In the last hours of his term, President Joe Biden negotiated an exchange of prisoners with the Taliban, who released American citizens, Ryan Corbit, William Wallace McCain, from the Taliban Nursery.
Not included in the deal, however, the American citizens were George Galzmann and Mahmoud Habibi.
On Saturday, Foreign Minister Marco Rubio posted on X that he was “just hearing” about the arrests of additional Americans by the Taliban.
“If this is true, then we will immediately put a very large reward for their leaders, and perhaps larger than that we had on bin Laden,” Rubio wrote.

Dennis Fitzpatrick, who coordinates efforts outside the United States government for the release of Gilzmann, claimed that Galzmann “was never a dangerous priority for Biden House.”
