Comedian Ron Funches I found a friend in Travis Kelsey last year – and now he's sharing an insight into his friend's adorable personality.
Funches, 41, posted a clip from his Dec. 1, 2024, concert at the Comedy Club in Kansas City via Instagram On Sunday, January 19, he revealed that he's a huge fan of Kelce, 35. The duo first clicked when Funches appeared as a guest star on Are you smarter than celebrities?hosted by Kelsey, in October of last year.
“I started doing this game show… and it was hosted by Travis Kelce,” Funches is seen telling the audience in the video. “We started getting friendly, you know? And then he found out I was going to be out performing for Thanksgiving week, and he reached out to me on Instagram and said, 'Hey man, are you coming to my city, let me know if you need anything.'
Funches described the Kansas City Chiefs tight end as a “human golden retriever,” and explained how Kelce invited him to an NFL game while he was in town.
“He's a good guy,” Funches explained. “He's a good guy, and not only did we get tickets (but) an hour and a half before the game, I got another little ring on my phone. He was like, 'Hey man, I'm getting ready to get into mode. “The game, I'm going to turn off my phone but before I do that, I just want to make sure you're okay.”
Kelce's check-in impressed Funches to no end. “You f–er mother prince charming. He's amazing, he's a human golden retriever. Maybe that's why he's so good at soccer. He sees the ball and says, 'I gotta go get it.'
