Rohit Sharma is having a scare on BGT

India skipper Rohit Sharma missed the Test series Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 opener to spend time with his wife after the birth of their second child.

India did not miss the services of Rohit in the first match and won the match very comfortably Jasprit Bumrah. Rohit Sharma returned to the team in the second match and they lost the match to Adelaide.

Subsequently, the third Test match in Brisbane ended in a draw, mainly due to spoilsport rain. Rohit Sharma's batting was very poor in the 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, as he scored fewer runs than Jasprit Bumrah.

While batting at his new position, No. 6, after sacrificing the opening position to KL Rahul, Rohit scored scores of 3, 6 and 10, making a total of 19 runs at an average of 6.33.

Firstly, can he come in to bat at number 3 because if we have to step up our bowling a little bit – Sanjay Bangar

Meanwhile, Sanjay Bangar said that Rohit's batting position could be changed if India wants to strengthen its bowling unit and suggested the skipper should spend some time in the middle to regain his form.

“That's a mantra for any batsman. I feel he can do two things. One, can he come in to bat at No. 3 because if we have to step up our bowling a little bit and add a little bit of intensity, he can definitely change his number,” Bangar told Star Sports.

Bangar also pointed out that Rohit was running a little late while taking on players, which was a major concern.

“Apart from that, set yourself up a little early. He seems to be a little late and late as well because we saw his bat not coming forward for his favorite draw shot. He generally doesn't miss the draw shot. It's a sign for every batsman whether he is playing his best shot or not.”

While offering a solution to the problem faced by Rohit, the former Indian batting coach stated that the Indian skipper needs to “settle down a little early” and it will give him some extra time to play shots.

“If he settles down a little early, he will get some time to get forward and then he can play his good shots. The Aussies have played him short balls but he has missed a lot of them. Rohit Sharma needs two or three. Shots with which he can get,” he said. To the rhythm and feel of it.”

“Batting is a game of feeling. If you feel that your legs are moving correctly and you are able to play your shots, then suddenly you will feel your lost confidence coming back. That can come in the middle of the innings as well. It doesn't have to hit the nets,” Bangar concluded. .
