Richard Gere and his wife, Alejandra Silvathey open up about their new life in Spain.

Although change is difficult, Geer said that changing himself is easier than trying to change others.

“It's about giving a voice to people who don't have one and raising awareness. It's very deeply meaningful and we should appreciate where we put our energy, but no matter how small, we can always make a contribution.
In addition to their environmental work, Silva and Geer are also passionate about ending homelessness.
“The only reason Richard and I are here in Madrid is to be part of the board of the NGO Home Yes “We want to help this country end homelessness,” she shared. Our goal is that within 5 years, no one will sleep on the street.”
