Ric Flair's legendary career may never end. The legendary performer recently gave a big update about his in-ring future.

Ric Flair is one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time. He has wrestled for decades. Flair's first taste of retirement came in 2008 after losing to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 24. However, this was not the end of his career, as he returned to the ring a year later and competed in TNA until 2011.

After spending 11 years out of the ring, he returned for another fight in 2022. He teamed up with his brother-in-law. Andrade vs. Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett. The match nearly became fatal for Nature Boy but he managed to leave safely. Despite this, he did appear with AEW and was in Sting's corner during his retirement match. The veteran even physically participated in the match. However, Flair left the company shortly after without competing in a bout of his own.

During a recent interview on Five Star, Flair was asked if he had one more match left in him. The nature boy replied:

Ric Flair explained why Tony Khan wouldn't let him compete in AEW

Ric Flair joined AEW to be part of Sting's farewell tour. However, he almost never participated until the end. There have been hints of Flair getting physically involved in the build-up to the fight but he never got into the ring to compete.

This has left fans who were hoping to see Naitch back in the ring again feeling a bit disappointed. However, Flair has an explanation as to why he was not allowed to compete AEW.

The WWE Hall of Famer said as much on the same podcast Tony Khan did not allow him to compete once he found out he was taking blood thinners.

Flair said: “When Tony (Khan) found out that I was taking blood thinners, he didn’t let me get in the ring.”
