Real Madrid revived their faltering Champions League season once again, with stars Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham scoring in a thrilling 3-2 win over Serie A leaders Atalanta.
Real Madrid had to push their luck when Matteo Retegui fired a shot over the goal in stoppage time when they had a golden opportunity to equalize the game.
Only their third win in the revised league stage of the competition leaves the 15-time champions unseeded in the playoffs in 18th place.
Paris Saint-Germain also picked up a much-needed win, beating Salzburg 3-0 to sit in 24th last place.
Bayer Leverkusen advanced to second place after defeating Inter Milan 1-0, while Bayern Munich defeated Shakhtar 5-1.

Mbappe has been inconsistent since his big summer move to Real Madrid, but his goal was the stuff of old, turning his man and flashing in a shot in one motion.
He also showed his distinctive speed as he made a clear run and hit a powerful shot, but then collapsed due to injury and limped off before the end of the first half.
Vinicius was alert to pounce on and direct a loose ball after Atalanta equalized from the penalty spot and Bellingham also scored a fine goal; Sweep from the top to achieve a long pass, before cutting in and directing inwards.
